Unforgettable Moments in Athens: A Love Story and Photo Tour
Walking Through Plaka: Couple Photoshoot to Areopagus Hill
Starting the Walk in the Narrow Streets of Plaka
This photoshoot began with an Indian couple who traveled to Athens and wanted relaxed, natural images from their visit.
We started in the narrow streets of Plaka, the historic old neighborhood at the foot of the Acropolis, full of neoclassical houses, small squares and stone steps.
Walking through Plaka gave us photos that looked like part of their real journey and not just a few quick pictures in front of one monument.
Climbing into Anafiotika Under the Acropolis
Next, we continued from lower Plaka up into Anafiotika, the tiny “island-style” quarter built on the slopes of the Acropolis..
Its whitewashed walls, bright doors and maze of alleys made the Indian couple feel as if they had stepped into a Cycladic village inside the city.
Here we used the narrow passages, staircases and sudden openings with views for both close portraits and wider environmental shots.
Reaching Areopagus Hill with an Acropolis View
After Anafiotika, the route led us towards Areopagus Hill, a rocky viewpoint just below the Acropolis with a wide view over Athens..
From the top, the couple could see the Parthenon above them and the city stretching into the distance, which created a powerful backdrop for photos.
We finished their Plaka and Anafiotika photoshoot here, with romantic portraits and simple silhouettes framed by the Acropolis view.
