Return & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This policy applies to all photography tours, sunrise and sunset sessions, proposals, workshops, and other photography experiences booked through PhotoTours in Athens and across Greece. By completing a booking, the client accepts the terms below, in addition to any mandatory consumer rights under EU and Greek law.

2. Bookings and Payments

  • A booking is confirmed only after payment is successfully completed through our website or agreed payment method.

  • The confirmation email and payment receipt serve as proof of your reservation and will include the main details of your chosen tour or session.

3. Client Cancellations

Because our experiences are date‑specific services with limited group sizes and significant preparation, cancellations affect availability for other clients. The following terms apply unless otherwise stated in a specific offer:

  • 90 days or more before the tour or session date: Full refund of the amount paid.

  • 90–60 days before the tour or session date: 75% refund of the amount paid.

  • 60–30 days before the tour or session date: 50% refund of the amount paid.

  • Less than 30 days before the tour or session date: No refund.

If a suitable replacement participant is found (by you or by us), your payment may be transferred to the new participant and you will not lose your payment for canceling, where feasible.

4. Changes and Rescheduling by the Client

  • Date or time changes requested by the client are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.

  • Minor rescheduling (e.g., changing the time on the same day due to weather) will be considered where possible, especially for sunrise and sunset tours, but may not always be feasible in high season.

Significant changes that affect our schedule or other booked clients may be treated as a cancellation and re‑booking under the terms above.

5. Cancellations or Changes by PhotoTours

In rare cases, PhotoTours may need to cancel or modify a tour or session due to reasons such as severe weather, safety concerns, guide illness, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases:

  • You will be offered either a rescheduled date or a full refund of the amounts paid for the affected service.

  • PhotoTours is not responsible for additional costs such as travel, accommodation, or other personal expenses.

6. No‑Show Policy

If the client does not appear at the agreed meeting point and time without prior notice, the booking will be treated as a no‑show and no refund will be provided. Late arrivals may reduce the duration of the experience without any partial refund.

7. Gift Vouchers and Special Promotions

  • Gift vouchers, discount codes, and promotional bookings may be subject to specific validity periods and may be non‑refundable or non‑transferable, as stated in the relevant offer.

  • Where permitted, changes or rescheduling of promotional bookings will follow the same time‑frame rules as standard bookings, unless otherwise communicated.

8. Digital Deliverables (Photos)

The service provided is a photography experience and the creation of professional images; this is a service, not a physical product.

  • Once the tour or session has taken place and edited photos have been delivered, refunds are not available for reasons of personal taste or subjective expectations.

  • If there is a clear technical issue with the files (e.g., corrupted downloads), PhotoTours will work to correct the problem and provide functional files.

9. Photo File Storage

Photo files are stored on our servers and available for download for three (3) months from the delivery date. After this period, files are automatically deleted for security and efficiency reasons.
PhotoTours bears no responsibility for access to files after three months. We strongly recommend downloading and securely backing up your photos within this timeframe.
If files are not downloading properly upon initial access, we will do everything possible to assist, but miracles cannot be guaranteed.

10. Right of Withdrawal and Local Law

EU and Greek consumer rules provide a 14-day right of withdrawal for many distance purchases, but this right can be limited or excluded for date-specific services such as leisure activities and tourism services scheduled for a specific period.
This policy is designed with those exceptions in mind and does not limit any mandatory rights you may have under applicable Greek or EU law.
